Despite her sickness, Davan excelled in school. She was a participant of Newfield’s honor society, the Tri-M Music Honor Society, LOTE Spanish Honor Society and was vice president of the Art Honor Society. She received the Attorney Total Triple C Scholarship, the Presidential Educational Award and a Regents diploma.
Davan will certainly be attending Suffolk County Neighborhood College in the fall and strategies to study engineering. She was accepted in to the school’s Honors Program.
“I wish to be an engineer, since I enjoy to construct things,” said Davan, that will certainly negotiate college courses while undergoing chemotherapy.

At completion of the graduation ceremony, Davan posed for photos and laughed along with her friends.
